"No one can look at the delicate beauty of a flower,

the magnificent strength of a tree or the intricacies of a plant -

and still walk away saying, 'There is no God' -  lest he be a fool..."

Sometimes the simplest of things are the most beautiful....

I love 'carpets' of flowers!

This flower reminds me of a propeller; but truth be told, it's gentle beauty is way beyond anything man can make.

Aaah, Orchids - this is the Royalty of all flowers...

These bright red, succulent fingers sure stand out in the garden...

These orchids look like they have little lights in them...

What can I say - there is such a variety of orchids one can never photograph enough of them...

This little orange blossem looks like a miniature tree ... can you see it?

I told you... orchids come in great variety...

What is it about a tree in winter mourning that is so appealing?

This is here simply because I was intrigued by the shot when I saw the result...

Even trees form 'scar tissue'. So ... don't hurt our trees!

Ok, you've got to admit - this is one lovely lady! Come on, you must be able to see this tree is a 'she'!?!

Case in point...

This is called a Canon tree. Apparently this fruit, though not edible, is used in some cultures to make alcohol. Man!

This is the flower of the Canon tree. It is magnificent, but only lasts a few days.

Isn't is glorious to look up into a tree and see a mass of blossoms above your head?!?

There is something so beautiful, so dangerous ... about cacti. And of course, if you're like me and forget to water plants, these are ideal for your home and garden.

I leaned over a cliff edge to get this shot. I have a thing about trees in their winter coats ... there is something so majestic about them. Perhaps it's the promise of life ... who knows...

No, not a cabbage - though it sure looks like one. This was shot in our local Botanic Gardens. I just like the 'frillyness' of the plant. It's so ... girly.

Just look at those gnarls and twists! I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but how can anyone not see the beauty in this!?!
